Overview
About Me
I am an adventuous, outgoing and curious person who have a big appetite on making new experiences, learning new things and cross new boundaries in order to continuously engage and challenge my mind and body . Half a year ago I finished my master in Anthropology, specializing in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction.
I decided that I needed a break from academia and decided to enroll in a 3 years training programme to become a tactical officer in the Danish army to work on my leadership skills and practical skills. It's an intense programme so I don't have the opportunity to travel as much as I did when I studied in university, but I make do with what I got!
I'm about to move out of the dorm I used to live in, because I spent most of my time at the base, so from now on I'm going to spend a lot of my weekends on the couch of friends and families. I don't mind because I find it easy to make a home where ever I go and share spaces with others. I guess that's one of the reasons why I love to travel and meet up with new people from different parts of the world.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Couchsurfing is just a wonderful way to get to meet up with local people when you travel around the world. It just provides the perfect setting to make meaningful cultural exchanges in a short period of time. Such meetings are so important to me because it makes the world a better and more empathetic place when people get an informal platform in which they can talk accross differences and learn from each other.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I travelled through South India on a motor bike with a couchsurfer.
Teach, Learn, Share
Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction is a eight week evidence-based course in meditation and yoga. It is Buddhist-derrived, both in terms of the practice and the philosophy behind it, but it has been secularized in order to apply it in settings in which spiritual/religious undertones are frowned upon. I have just made a fieldwork and written my master thesis about the relationship between science and religion in the program and would love to tell you more about it if you are interested ;)
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can teach them about mindfulness, anthropology and danish culture. I love talking about the big topics: what is the meaning of life, what is the role of religion in society, where is world politics heading and so on. I am also a good listener and I'm always curious to learn about what troubles and desires there are to be found in people's heart.
