About Me

ABOUT ME

An independent figure who likes to explore around, even in the forested area behind my house, thanks to my dad's adventurous upbringing. Reserved at first but once familiar,I can be your fun-loving entertainer. I love to help travellers in need, travel around and meet more people around the world.

I am an artist/filmmaker/environmental activist (whatever you wanna call me!), but nope, neither do I draw nor paint (Ask me more when you meet me!)

I'm active in volunteering, cultural heritage and environmental conservation as well. So if you wanna know more, I can bring you to my volunteer place (https://www.facebook.com/groundupinitiative?fref=ts) or bring you on a personal cultural trail.
& check out my DIY stuffs from waste materials! (https://www.facebook.com/DtyDontTellYou)

PHILOSOPHY

One must give before one can take, so why not share your knowledge and experiences?!

[Update since 2018: I'm going vegetarian for environmental purposes, though not a full vegetarian yet (because i still eat vegetables cooked with meat) I only eat vegetables. Having said that, I can still recommend you the places where you can get good local food (meat included!)]

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Introduced by a very good classmate of mine and got hooked on ever since..

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I guess I have a decent amount of experience in CS (both hosting & surfing) so far and all have been really positive until one nasty surfer arrived.. Read more about it here (https://www.dropbox.com/s/ma676psp0i3u7f4/CS%20exp.pdf)

Nevertheless, that will not keep me away from CS.

Interests

TRAVEL! and bringing people around Singapore (I will not bring you to tourist spots but it'll sure be as interesting) or anything except staying within the 4 walls BUT anything can sound like a plan for me ;)

Music, Movies, and Books

Star Wars & The Simpsons

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One is never enough in this section..

1.Took a 24-hour train ride in Burma, from Mandalay to Myitkyina, which the train goes up, down, left and right, sitting on 2 perpendicular wooden plank (I could not feel my ass after that) with 3 "attacks" throughout the night; flying beetles/ants/mosquitoes, locals entering the train via the window beside me, with big baskets of mangoes and chickens and people sleeping on every possible space they can find which includes the ground where your leg should rest. BUT the kindheartedness & sincerity of my neighbours are unbelievable; they gave me mangoes from their basket, bought me fried locust & hard boiled eggs from the food seller and tried to chat with me despite them not speaking a word of English.

2.Jumping off a 11m cliff into a lake

3.Visited a Polish cemetery in the evening ... it's actually Halloween's Day and the cemetery is more crowded than the town market! LOL.

I don't think my experiences are that amazing compared to other backpackers

Teach, Learn, Share

I can always share so much with you from cultures, to languages, art, food.. the list goes on. You can look at my references to see what other CSers have experienced.
