ABOUT ME

I started my career as a lecturer in Delhi University , teaching history. Thereafter I served in the Government of India as an officer of the Indian Administrative service.In my long career I have worked in the area of administration,rural development,education,environment,community service,finance & investment etc. I have travelled widely and had an assignment in New York for four years.My experiences of life have led me deeply into spiritual quest,meditation,yoga and Reiki healing. I deliver lectures on practical spirituality and motivational topics.I am also engaged in teaching children,doing community service,and working in rural areas.I believe in learning from diverse cultures and philosophies,and love to travel,meet people,and share thoughts.I deliver "Living the Wisdom" series of lectures in India and abroad,sharing knowledge,wisdom,and positive thought process for a healthy and joyful living.I practise self-realistion,soul -consciousness,and service to society with love for all.

PHILOSOPHY

"Only those live who live for others" is my firm belief and philosophy of life. Love transcends all other feelings and emotions.I believe in living life to the fullest , with positive thoughts and joyful disposition. There is no time to waste ; so much to do , so much to learn,and so much to give.This world is a beautiful place,and so we should live our life beautifully.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I love to meet, converse with, and learn from, people belonging to different parts of the world. Hence I like to host,or atleast meet and guide, the CS. I want that people who come to my country should go back with happy experiences.

I have had beautiful experiences through hosting and interacting with Couch Surfers.I have shared thoughts , ideas and have learnt a lot about different cultures.

Interests

Besides my spiritual quest , philanthropic activities and community service work,I am interested in reading,writing,listening to music and long walks , especially in the mountains. I can dance all night. I love to meet and interact with different types of people.

Love to watch old Classical movies of by-gone era , western as well as Indian. Musical and romantic movies.Movies having lots of dancing.Movies with social themes.Classical western music,Beatles,Whitney Houston,Abba and old Hindi movie songs are my favourites.Enjoy reading books on spiritual subjects , mythologies , ancient scriptures , history and historical novels,autobiographies and biographies,travelogues,novels and short stories.My favourite authors are W Somerset Maugham,Fyodor Dostoevsky,and Prem Chand.
