Hello! Our names are Adrianna and Jen. We met at Chewonki, a outdoor education organization in Maine, where we were both were leading three-week wilderness trips for teens. As a couple, we are passionate about the outdoors in general and love to canoe, backpack, and otherwise be in beautiful places together. We would love to work in a community that is accepting of LGBTQ people.
We both currently are continuing to live at Chewonki. Jen is working for an outdoor education program that collaborates with public and privates schools to take middle school children camping for a week and learn about ecology. Adrianna is a calculus teacher at a semester school that does experiential place-based education for high school juniors.
We are both quiet and enjoy reading, tea, and the banjo ukulele. We also love adventures particularly of the outdoor exploration sort. We value the communal nature of sharing and cooking meals together and have fun playing music or at small gatherings of good people. We are also independent and won't need to be entertained all of the time. Having lived in many small communities we understand the need for communication, compassion, and pitching in to help when needed.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
We have decided to take 7 months to travel the world before settling into grad school and maybe building a tiny house while we are at it. Some of the best experiences we have had traveling is when we know people who live in the places we visit and get to know the place well.
