Searching and REsearching amazing people and their stories the world round.
Creative writer, dance and party-lover. I have a big sense of humor, sarcastic and ironic at times. I'm fascinated by humans and the human mind. I began traveling when I was 1 month old and haven't stopped ever since. And in my travels, the world hasn't stopped to amaze and surprise me with the beautiful, deep and story-like encounters I've experienced.
I'm an atheist on a spiritual quest to release his mind of the fear of death and the notion of being something apart and detached from the rest of the universe. This probably makes me a secular buddhist at heart. I'm a moderate liberal, with a strong sense of ethics and who highly values human empathy and kindness. I'm always looking to be a beautiful person, outside as well as in. I hope to be remembered for my writing and for having touched peoples' lives during my lifetime.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Hosting in my awesome 18th floor appartment I share with my husband and a roommate.
I've couch surfed (officially) in Canada, Florida and hosted in my apartment in Colombia. All experiences have been amazing.
Everything written: poetry, literature, creative writing, journalism, online news junky, international politics and human psychology. I have a way with language, I have clear ideas and emotions and I have a taste for communicating them. Conversation is one of my greatest pleasures. I will dance to almost any beat, since I love to party. I also love to work out. I believe in Social Justice and activism (Human Rights, genocide prevention and LGBT & gender issues).
Music, Movies, and Books
I love electronic and indie rock, electropop, tango, jazz, soundtracks, opera, hip hop and house music. I like political films, film adaptations of theater works and experimental cinema. My favorite authors are Thomas Mann, Fernando Pessoa and journalist Christopher Hitchens.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Life-changing field research with Colombian war victims in remote regions of the country. Sunsets at the Colombian Pacific. Falling in love. Going undercover to report on labor abuses of undocumented migrants in the U.S. Living in New York for three years.
