Took leave from my job in the US to leave the country and travel the world for a year with my wife, Jesica (really spelled with one S, not a typo :)). Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We are new to Couchsurfing, but I can't imagine a better way to see and learn about the world than through the eyes of people who not only live in the countries we will be visiting, but are kind enough to open their homes to total strangers like my wife and me!

"Private Room" Airbnbs have served us well thus far, but we've frequently not even had a chance to meet our hosts in person and when we have, it has only been for a few short minutes. It seems like CS will provide a better opportunity to genuinely meet hosts in the countries we will be visiting, share some conversation, and hopefully make a few friends!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One cool thing we did recently was bungy jump off the tallest bridge bungy in the world (Bloukrans Bungy in South Africa).

What I Can Share with Hosts

Back home I loved to cook - I can cook American cuisine to share if there is any interest in that, or I can share my experiences in both US where I grew up as well as our recent stops along our journey around the world. Anything else, just ask! Jesica and I are easy-going and up for anything.
