It is important to live your beliefs, values, philosophies, ideas. This is why I eat raw food.

Ideas have to made material, they have to be made into the way you live your life, otherwise they turn into ghosts that haunt you.

I will be a gracious guest! Reading through profiles here is so fascinating, I would love to meet as many of the people here as I can!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Not much so far, I'm only new to travelling. I've been around Australia, but 2011 will be my first time to Europe.

Interests

Movies, music, books. I love to play guitar and sing. I paint, sketch and write and make movies.

I'm also very interested in learning new languages. I'm always trying, and I'm looking forward to living in foreign languages.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love movies! Everything from Groundhog Day to Last Year at Marienbad, Charlie Chaplin, Jerry Lewis and Buster Keaton, old Hollywood, everything Cary Grant, Hitchcock.

I love books more than I actually finish reading them. The Catcher in the Rye, Nabokov, biographies, and I read a lot about film, spirituality and raw food.

Le Petit Prince, The Little Prince, Der Kleine Prinz, Regulus - in any language this is my absolute favourite!

For music, I love Philip Glass and Steve Reich, but I won't make you listen to it I know it's not for everybody! And African music is generally amazing. Congotronics, and highlife guitar playing, wow!

The Go-Betweens, The Triffids and The Sleepy Jackson, are some amazing Australian bands. If you don't know The Go-Betweens I will play you some on the guitar! I love Beatles, The Who, Supergrass, Smiths, Electrelane and so many British bands, and guitary indie music. Right now Beach House are on constant repeat!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I generally enjoy myself and the things I do, and every day I will do something that I find just amazing, for example, the other day I played my guitar and sang in the kitchen while my friend's one year old baby girl danced. Amazing!

I think it's our reaction to the things we do that is the really amazing thing about our experiences, like, my feeling of absolute joy when the baby was dancing is what made that an incredible experience, and yet I can think of other people who would barely even look up from the computer when that happened.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach film, guitar and singing, maybe drawing. I have a degree in Cinema Studies and I love talking about movies! I want to learn more about all those things, and books too.

And I've been eating almost completely raw for two years now, which is an amazing way to eat and live and I would love to share what I've learned so far, and learn more about it.
