ABOUT ME

Originally from New York. Not the city, mind you, but upstate...waaaay upstate. Think Canada. Spent most of my life just south of Watertown in a tiny town from whence the inventor of the Dewey Decimal System hailed.
I'm usually pretty outgoing, I LOVE meeting new people and seeing them in their element - their towns, streets, homes, their favorite places and where they hang out, who their friends are and how they spend their time. I'm fascinated with this wide, wild world and am working on seeing as much of it as I can. I've been told I smile and laugh too much, avoid drama and stress like the plague, I'm good for anything, and can usually be counted on for a laugh, whether I say something funny or do something stupid (usually the latter). So give me a shout!

PHILOSOPHY

There's too much to see and feel and do and learn to be stationary. Boredom should be the exception, not the norm. Sunshine is really, really good for you.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Surfed my way from New Mexico to Montana over the summer, and crash on random couches every weekend at different ski mountains.

兴趣

ANYTHING to do outside - I really want to try zorbing. Especially fond of the beach and anywhere I can go skiing or snowboarding. I love reading, do way too much of it (I'm currently in the market for my fourth bookcase). I make the best chocolate chip cookies you've ever tasted. I like particle physics and kayaking. I'm in love with my camera. And my skis. If I were actually able to do everything I want, I'd need a couple hundred lifetimes...

Books - hahaha I should just paste a picture of my bedroom here. I have more books than a mid-sized city's library.
Music - anything but country. LOVE classical music. and old school fall out boy
Movies - Disney movies, Into the Wild, Little Miss Sunshine was good, Cool Runnings (a classic! haha), ummmmm...I guess I don't really watch that many movies

Took an illegal photograph inside the Sistine Chapel
Watched the sunset behind Delicate Arch in Arches National Park
Encountered a grizzly bear - he was literally 25 feet away
Touched the Berlin Wall
Cheered Syracuse Men's Basketball to the NCAA Champsionship in 2003

I'm a kick-ACE ski teacher. I'll have you tearing it up in two hours. Good at making fun where there might appear to be none, reading maps and starting campfires. Possess a decent photographic eye, but always working on it.
I have an insatiable desire to learn EVERYTHING. What can you teach me?
