I'm on couch surfing because people are inherently interesting, everyone knows something you don't, everyone can teach you something, and everyone has a story to tell. Being invited into peoples homes, maybe having a beer and sharing a meal over a good story seems like the best way to make a meaningful experience with folk from all around the world.
