About Me

My name's Cadence, I'm a 21 year old university student from Canada. I study English literature and Spanish during the year, and lifeguard/wait tables in the summer. I love learning languages above all else, and learning about other places in the world.

I live to eat. Spicy food especially!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

When you're abroad, the people you interact with color your experience for the trip and the country you're in.
I've had people walk me all the way to places I've gotten lost getting to, invited me out with their friends for drinks, and even show up to an internet provider to help me work out issues in a language I didn't understand.

If I can be that friend for someone else, I certainly will.
I'll host when I can, and can meet up to hang out

Music, Movies, and Books

It's very difficult to choose a favorite book or movie, because different things fit different moods and periods in your life.
I like to keep an open mind when it comes this stuff; I'm always willing to give something a chance if it's recommended by a friend.

There's usually something in every genre I'll come to like for music. Some of my favorites are hip hop, punk and classic rock, house music (oh boy Daft Punk) and classical music. Love the new tribe album!

As far as books go I love classics and many others. The Odyssey and Crime and Punishment are 2 of the best books I've ever read. Currently reading A thousand splendid suns

It's too hard to pick a favourite movie. I'll say this: the best movie I've seen in Spanish is far and away "El secreto de sus ojos." Amazing movie

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm very upbeat and positive, easy to get along with and can adapt to almost any situation.
I'm pretty tranquil and cleanly most of the time, but going out is always a good time to.

I come from Canada and can share stories a plenty, cultural insight as well as (probably) maple syrup. I'll bring the wine

Countries I’ve Visited

Barbados, United States
