ABOUT ME

Hiiiii I'm Cynthia. I'm moving to Ourense, Spain for the school year and am ready to start up this new adventure and fall in love with another Spanish city! I studied abroad in Granada, Spain in Spring 2011 and vowed to return to Spain as soon as possible. So here I am, back in Spain but ready to experience the vast differences in Northern Spain!

I studied Psychology and Spanish at Grinnell College, a wee little school of less than 2,000 students in the middle of cornfields in Iowa, USA. I also played soccer there, and I still love to play whenever I get the chance! I've played since I was a toothless kindergartner and cannot get enough of it!! In general I love working out a lot, mostly because I also loooove eating and so that's the best way I've figured out to have the best of both worlds without becoming morbidly obese! That being said, I ALWAYS have room for dessert :)

PHILOSOPHY

Too many of my friends are stressed about jobs, life and love right now!! I prefer to be more relaxed and enjoy whatever comes my way. I'm not in a hurry to figure it all out...I'm certain that will all come in time :) CARPE DIEM!

I've done a lot of traveling around Europe and if I had a choice, I'd never have to leave! I LOVE immersing myself into each country's distinct culture, trying to pick up bits of language as I go and really just embrace the location and its people. Now that I'm outside of my United States bubble I can't get enough of traveling! I WANT TO SEE THE WORRRRRRLD

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I had an unbelievable stay in Paris over a year ago. My friends and I still keep in contact with our hosts and have become quite close to them! Other than that, I just have a lot of friends who have also had unbelievable CouchSurfing experiences so I'd love to get more involved and to begin hosting people once I figure out my apartment situation in Ourense!
