About Me
I'm an assistant professor at the department of psychology at MCBU.
I like camping, riding, taking pictures.. movement, in every meaning..
A corner of my mind is always busy planning my next trip. Because, in my opinion, although it is now possible to reach many things related to art, science or culture from your warm home, you need to go out for completely new experiences, and wander the streets of a different city, and taste nice things, and get to know people from different cultures... I love this kind of experience and Couchsurfing is perfect for that.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Besides seeing the cafes, museums, bars and other touristic places in the countries I go, I also want to meet and spend time with the local people there. I've visited a lot of historical places and museums so far.. I think getting close to the locals will give me different perspectives about life.
Music, Movies, and Books
For a long time, I have an interest in visual arts, especially cinema, photography and painting. Bergman and Angelopoulos, Van Gogh and Edward Hopper, and Sebastiao Salgado are my favourites. Modern classical, ethnic techno, rock and blues are the genres I listen to the most. In literature, I admire Dostoyevsky and Kafka.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm a semi-amateur photographer, so I can share a lot about photography with you. Or about climbing and camping. If you would like to see my photos go to https://www.instagram.com/caglr.solk/
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'm a psychologist, so I could make you happier :p
Jokes aside, I can enjoy telling a lot about psychology, which is my specialty, or about my own culture, which has its roots in nomadic groups. Also, it will be a pleasure to take your photos if you want. My camera will most likely be with me. See you! 🌿
