Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've now couch surfed a couple of places, and it's been great! My life style tends to be somewhat nomadic, but as soon as I have a couch I'll open it up for other surfers.

Interests

I love experiencing new places. I only need to visit one more continent before I have collected all 7. I am a fan of dressing up with friends in costumes cobbled together from random items, and heckling inconsequential sporting events.

Music, Movies, and Books

I am pretty enthusiastic about books and movies. I've worked in book stores and libraries, and my tastes tend to run the gamut with emphasis on novels and adventure or historical non-fiction. I tend to be that person who reads everything by an author when I find one that I love.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

A friend and I committed to hiking the Queen Charlotte Trail in New Zealand. We took 5 days and carried our things, and it was amazing. I bought a tiara for the event and waved at people as we passed as though I were the queen and the trail was named after me.

I have also been to Fontaine de Vaucluse, which is the most beautiful place I've ever seen.

I am a fount of useless knowledge and I host the bi-weekly trivia nights at McMurdo Station, Antarctica.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I love to socialize and hear about others' travels (as a source of inspiration for my future travels). If you have a pet, I will probably insist that they be around for our conversations since I am generally animal-starved (unless you count penguins).
