As a couple I would say we are outgoing, easy to get along with & relaxed. I would say the most important thing is we don't take ourselves too seriously!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We met some lovely people on our travels with very good stories about couchsurfing. We got very inspired and are excited to start our own couchsurfing adventure, both as surfers and as hosts when we get back home!

Interests

We love the simple but good things in live:
- Hiking or cycling into the country side and enjoying nature
- A good film on the couch with a nice cold beer or a lovely bottle of chilled white wine
- Going to a national park either in the uk or abroad and find some nice tracks to tackle, having lunch at the top of a hill or mountain, fresh air on your face, beautiful surroundings
- meeting new & friendly people in unexpected places
- having a great cup of coffee in a nice cafe, chatting away with friends or family
- learning about good wine & whiskey
- meeting with friends in a cosy pub

Music, Movies, and Books

Cai is a sucker for Classic Rock, Marijn's more into mainstream alternative rock, singer songwriter stuff, folky, jazzy etc. etc.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

1) During our trip to Australia, we learned how to scuba-dive. That was just mind-blowing, swimming in between these massive fish, turtles and what more. Can't wait to dive again!

2) Hiking in the beautiful Fiordlands in New Zealand. So much natural beauty: lakes, snow-capped mountains, wild deer...

We enjoy learning from people who don't know themselves they've got a lot to offer, or they don't boast about it at least.
