About Me
I started counting, and I think I have 429 hobbies. I love to meet new people, and see new things.
Getting out of my own city creates a beautiful simplicity in life and clears the head.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love road tripping in my van that I've converted to include sleeping quarters. But after a few long road trips, I learned that, not only does it get cold in there in the winter, but more importantly, that new places are more fun when you get to share the experience with others. I'm not always looking for someone to hang out with when couch surfing, but if you're game to see some sights then so am I! Having a local contact to get the inside information is always a plus.
Unfortunately, I'm not able to share my space as a host at this time, but I'm excited to offer the same kindness and fun times to travelers I hope to experience in my own adventures.

Music, Movies, and Books
My favorite author is Tom Robbins.
Favorite movies include Best in Show, The Hudsucker Proxy, Wayne's World, The Royal Tenenbaums (and anything else directed by Wes Anderson)
Some of my favorite music artists are Gal Costa (and Bossanova in general), Elliott Smith, Smashing Pumpkins, and Nick Drake, to name a few.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
A couple of years ago I got sick of waiting for a great adventure. So I bought a van and took myself to them!
Alone, I spent a month driving from Portland, OR around the forests of one of the most beautiful places in the world: The Olympic Peninsula, and then to hot springs through central Idaho.
Next I took the Pacific Coast Highway down to SF, Santa Cruz, and LA, where I met inspiring new friends and sights in each place. Next, to Las Vegas, Arizona, The Grand Canyon, Zion Park, Utah, Boise. It was a lot of work to drive myself the whole way, but I loved every second.
Teach, Learn, Share
I love doing yoga and acroyoga. And I'd love to do more!
I'm looking forward to learning an instrument next. Do you play the guitar? Ukulele?
I can teach you lots of different crafty skills.
What I Can Share with Hosts
At times, all I need is a quick overnight stay while driving from city to city. Other times I love to share meals and experiences. Getting to know new people is one of my favorite things to do!
