To travel the world: taste new foods, experience new cultures, learn new languages, all the while loving and sharing time with others!
I have a Master's degree in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages and two undergraduate degrees in Spanish and History with minors in Women's Studies and English Literature. I am currently teaching Spanish to high schoolers in Kentucky:)
Here are also results of a personality test I took one time that seemed to describe me pretty accurately...
Personality Type: Orange
"Your strength is skillfulness. You are spontaneous, courageous and a natural performer. You prefer a hands on approach to learning and problem solving. You enjoy competition and must have fun and variety in your work. You like challenges, contests, and competitions, especially if they require talent, skill, and adrenaline. You stretch the limits and set new records. But if there is anything you truly need, it's freedom to be you-which is being spontaneous, free, alive. You focus on the here and now. You want to experience all that life has to offer, and you do it with gusto"
Life is a great big canvas, and you should throw all the paint on it you can.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I want to experience a side of traveling that is less touristy and more authentic. Traveling for me is about getting to know and understanding others while allowing my mind to be opened to new perspectives and cultures. I try to provide information to travellers about places to visit and travel tips. I always try to meet other CS's, ask them questions, and look for opportunities to stay with/host other couchsurfers.
I have used couchsurfing throughout Europe, South America, and the United States! My entire couchsurfing experience has been great so far and has enhanced all of my adventures.
Almost everything has an element of interest to me...I love art, books, discussing cultural issues, and philosophy. Sports are an essential part of my life as well. I compete in triathlons, play soccer, and dabble in rock climbing and boxing.
- rock climbing
- world cup

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Being at the game of the USWNT win over Japan in the 2015 Women's World Cup in Vancouver, Canada... deciding to compete in my first Olympic triathlon two days before the race and winning my group, and all of the places and people I've played soccer with...I love that the game is a language of its own. I've played on a gravel lot in a skirt in the pouring rain in Haiti, on a sand field looking over the volcanoes in Guatemala, and on the streets of Spain just to name a few :)
Teach, Learn, Share
Share: Southern Culture, my love for people and appreciation for the simple, beautiful things in life, the English and Spanish language
