About Me

Irish girl currently living along the south coast of England. I have a quirky, easy-going and kind personality. I love to travel, especially solo because I am very independent and travelling alone allows me to open up easily to new adventures.
My idea of a perfect day is wandering around a beautiful city, going to a modern art museum or exhibit, or simply sitting somewhere cosy with a good book.
I like to go out and have a few drinks, dance a little and see a city by night. I love documentaries and foreign language films. I am a cat lover most of all.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love to make friends with whom I can share new ideas, talk about our travels and have new experiences. I like to learn about foreign cultures, to be surprised by a city and fascinated by new places.

Music, Movies, and Books

There are too many for a single lifetime. I like anything which gives me new ideas, something to spark my interest. My favourite book, if I had to choose, would be 'A Certain Smile' by Francoise Sagan, and for the movie, maybe Sliding Doors or Eternal Sunshine.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was living in Berlin when the attacks happened in Paris in November 2015, as a sign of solidarity I joined a large peaceful protest march which began in Parisier Platz. People from all around the world stood in a circle in front of the French Embassy, holding hands, praying and singing the French national anthem. Together we walked, still holding hands, in the pouring rain from the Brandenburg Gate to the Victory column. This experience taught me how easily strangers can come to love and support each other, people they have never even met in lives they have never lived.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can share some languages and would love to learn phrases in your language too. I love reading and never travel without a book, I would love to do a book-swap with you if you are also a reader. I can also share wine!
