About Me

Hi! My name is Caitlin and my goal in life is to explore, meet new people, and experience life to its fullest! I've been working in Clemson, SC for the last 3 years but have plans to move up to Greenville, SC soon to pursue a new job. I work as a Registered Dietitian and love all things related to food science/cooking/nutrition! Outside of work you can find me reading, long boarding, hiking, mountain biking, and searching for the latest cooking shows on Netflix. I enjoy meeting new people and making new friends!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to learn more about people from other places and establish lasting connections. Life is all about making those connections! I love hearing about someone's unique journey through life, and the community aspect of Couchsurfing is very appealing to me.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: I will honestly listen to most anything. My favorites are folk music (especially bluegrass), oldies, rock, and a little bit of EDM. Country may be the only genre that I haven't dived into yet. Favorite artists: The Beatles, Nora Jones, Gaelic Storm, Nickel Creek

Movies: O Brother Where Art Thou, The Secret Life of Walter Mitty, Free Solo (documentary), Requiem for a Dream, Forest Gump, Pineapple Express, Curly Sue, What Dreams May Come, Good Will Hunting

Books: On Food and Cooking: The Science and Lore of the Kitchen by Harold McGee, Milk and Honey by Rupi Kaur, Velocity by Dean Koontz, The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho, Sarah's Key by Tatiana de Rosnay

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went on a 10 day trip to Europe with friends in the summer of 2018. It was my first time out of the country and overseas as it had been a goal of mine to get out before hitting 30. We spent a few days in Barcelona/Spain, Paris/France, London/United Kingdom, and toured Ireland for a week. It made me a better person being able to experience so many different cultures. It makes you realize how many different people there are in the world and why we should all be accepting of each other's differences, because we're all different.

Teach, Learn, Share

I know how to make French macarons. If you're patient and have the time, I'd love to show you how fun it can be! :)

I want to learn everything you're willing to share with me. I'm always open to sharing my experiences with new people and in return learning about their experiences as well.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm always open to sharing my experiences with others as well as kindness and acceptance.

Countries I’ve Visited

Canada, England, France, Ireland, Spain
