I'm a World traveler and lover. Have lived overseas several times and generally when the travel bug grabs me I am gone for months at a time. My work keeps me traveling almost constantly, it's been over two years at this point since I have been home. I am looking forward to getting home this year in time for a real Thanksgiving dinner with my family.

I've been a couch surfer since 2008 but 3 years ago I took a hiatus and when I came back for some reason my profile was no longer there! How disappointing considering I have stayed with and hosted hundreds of people over the years and am now missing all those connections. :( . I managed to find my old profile but for the life of me I cannot access it. So I took some screen shots of past reviews and uploaded them to my "couch" album. Its not perfect I know but at least this way you can see I have some people verifying I am not a terrible person :)

I believe to truly visit a new culture you have to spend time soaking in the everyday and the mundane. The historical and beautiful landmarks are amazing and I want to see those too but I also want to play with children, learn cooking tips from little, sweet grandmother's, discuss life over a bottle of wine with the locals and dance in the streets.

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

I spend 85% of my year either alone or interacting with people from a business perspective. Hotels are so impartial that I prefer to stay with locals. I love when I can find families to host me as the family dynamic is very missed in my life and I tend to get to help with a lot of cooking.

But mainly I just love people and culture and fostering connections.
