ABOUT ME

I am a university student currently living in Istanbul, Turkey. I love meeting new people and learning about other cultures. Im always interested in learning something new.

I have always been interested in following the road less traveled. I have found that while taking risks are often scary, in the end I always so much and have a great story to tell. This is probably one of my greatest personal contradictions, however. By nature I can be somewhat cautious, yet always find a thrill in seeking out the adventurous path.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

When I travel I love meeting with and getting to know the "locals". One of the many reasons I love couchsurfing is because it provides a unique way to make connections with people who are passionate about not just being a tourist but really experiencing and absorbing the travel experience. When I couchsurf I am not just looking for a place to stay, but searching to meet knew people and establish lasting connections. I love sharing travel stories and when I stay with someone I highly enjoy hearing about all of their experiences, tips, and adventures.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

All of my couchsurfing experiences have been wonderful and each distinct from the other. My favorite experiences have been where I have been able to create a lasting connection with my host. One of the first people to ever host me still sends me a postcard in the mail around Christmas time!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

There are so many to share! I think one of biggest highlights of my travels so far has been seeing the Euphrates River!
