I am curious about all cultures, languages and foods. I am creative and love to write, design and experiment. My favourite feeling is the moment of take off in an aeroplane, with a new adventure ahead of me.

I grew up with my parents having people from all around the world coming to stay and work on the family farm. Some of my greatest memories are of spending evenings with these people from all across the globe, with each one bringing something new into our family which is the reason I am interested in sharing my culture and learning about others.

I am interested in art and design, crafts and being creative. I have always cooked and enjoy playing with different flavours and presentations. I also like spending time with friends and family and enjoying the beautiful scenery there is around New Zealand. I love animals and grew up surrounded by horses, a dog, sheep, cows, goats and chickens.

Seeing how kind and generous people in the Philippines are. My dad and I received some bad news while we were there it was amazing to see how well the whole community looked out for us. We had amazing dinner made for us by people that can hardly afford their own meals, and gifts given to us when we left. There were hugs all round by neighbours and friends, people we had hardly met yet they made us feel so comfortable. These people really would have done anything for us, one even offered us a ride to the airport with both of us on the back of his old motorbike. It was something I've never experienced before and wont ever forget.

I have certificates in both Teaching English as a Second Language and Teaching English to Young Learners so can help out if you need to practice your English! There are a lot of things I'd like to learn and am up for learning anything new.
My current goal is to learn Japanese! So far all I can say is "My name is Caitlin" and "Do you like icecream?". So I could do with a little help!
