CURRENT MISSION

Currently I'm on a 5 month backpacking trip around Europe. After going through heartache at home, this is my opportunity to see the world and meet fascinating people along the way!

ABOUT ME

I am a 26 year old independent woman who tries to live life to the fullest. I was married for a brief period of time and when my marriage ended I decided to take a 5 month backpacking trip through Europe just for me. This trip is for me to see the world, surround myself with adventure and beauty and meet fascinating people along the way. I love to travel and this is my opportunity to do something I love.
A little more about myself, I am an artist, I love to draw and paint. I am a very positive and outgoing person but I am typically very shy when you first meet me. I love being a tourist in my own city (Pittsburgh is a beautiful place that everyone should visit). I enjoy really good food, beer, and wine. I grew up on a lake and in the country so I love the outdoors. I enjoy...campfires, cooking, porch drinking, board games, card games, going to the movies, listening to live music, going to a play, being with my family, and adventures, just to name a few.

PHILOSOPHY

My personal philosophy is to Love Life and live life with no regrets.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My first couch surfing experience was in 2011 in Dublin Ireland. It was a great first experience and I got to meet some amazing people. Recently I've been couch surfing as much as possible on my trip around Europe. I find couch surfing to be much more rewarding than staying in a hostel.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books: Eat Pray Love, Kite Runner, Thousand Splendid Suns, and a lot of travel books! Music: I enjoy going to see local bands play. I enjoy all types of music from metal to the oldies. Van Morrison is one of my all time favorites. Movies: I enjoy all types of movies except for horror movies (I scare very easily).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

On one of my first nights in Rome, myself and 3 other people got ridiculously lost. It took us hours to find our way to anything that looked familiar. That night opened my eyes to the adventure in traveling and the wonders of getting lost. That night showed me that my type of traveling isn't seeing the tourist attractions but its zig zagging through the back streets of a city and really getting to know the true feel of the city.
