About Me

CURRENT MISSION

See as much as I can see, hear as much as I can hear, be as much as I can be

ABOUT ME

I am a young citizen of this world taking a break from school to spend time discovering the world, humanity and myself as much as possible. I do that by playing music, writing, and traveling primarily. I have traveled the past couple years, and now I'm settling down in albuquerque, NM to work and save money to travel internationally.

I try to learn from every experience I have, and everyone I meet. I feel at home when I'm on my feet, surrounded by people and places I've never seen.

PHILOSOPHY

There's nothing to unity but I love you and you love me

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have yet to host anyone, because I haven't had my own place until now, but I have met many amazing people surfing. I traveled the US for a while, but primarily just used couch surfing throughout California. An amazing way to learn and meet amazing people!

Music, Movies, and Books

Oh boy.
Music is where my heart is. I respect all types of music for what they are. Every musician put in time, thought, and emotion into their work and I applaud them all!
I listen to everything from Bob Dylan to Johnny Hobo and the Freight Trains to Modest Mouse to Sufjan Stevens to the Beatles. I like Beirut, Explosions in the Sky, The Tallest Man on Earth, Iron and Wine, the list goes on. Folk to folk punk to rock to ska to classical to post rock to everywhere in between.

Movies! I used to be more cultured in film than I am now, since now I don't own a television or computer, but I love film nonetheless.
Good Will Hunting, The Squid and the Whale, Rushmore, Diving Bell and the Butterfly, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Perfect Sense, Fight Club, Requiem for a Dream, etc...
Some of my favorite directors are Darron Aronofsky, Noah Baumbach, the Cohen Brothers, etc..
Oh and I love documentaries.

Books! I am one for literature. I don't really know where to begin. From Faulkner to Bukowski, to Marquez to Cormac McCarthy. I read novels, poetry, plays...

If I grow or learn from it, I'll listen to it, watch it, or read it.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was backpacking through canyons in Utah, and on the first day, while hiking down the canyon, we finally made it to the bottom, and it was exhausting and exciting. We kept hiking, and an hour or so later, another canyon opened up beneath my feet, and I experienced that intense feeling that I'm sure we've all experienced, when you realize how incredibly vast the world is, and how small we are, and how much there is to see. I would only see a small fraction of this one canyon, in a state full of canyons, and that is just one state in just one country, etc., etc.. You all know the feeling.
Anyway, it was beautiful.
