I like to meet local people when I travel. I think it's the best way to really get to know a country not just for its sights and food.

I've had some really fantastic experiences in the Burmese jungle and spending new years in the villages in Chiang Mai because I had friends there. I've also managed to roam Ulaanbaatar in Mongolia with a tour guide who became my friend.

Otherwise, I sometimes travel just to relax and do nothing. And I usually don't couchsurf then.

I'm currently a master's student and may not be able to travel much from next year on.

I'll be happy to show people around, being hospitable is something I love to do. I can't host a couch at the moment but hope to do so in the future.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've couch surfed in Stirling, Scotland before. For some reason, it doesn't show up here. I've met really cool people at a CS meetup in Madrid in Spain.
