About Me

A man of many interests.

In a quick summary, I love people, music, being outdoors with friends and family, and learning and studying nearly everything about the world and the histories and cultures of the human race

I enjoy music, be it live or just discovering new artists online with my headphones. I have been a volunteer DJ at Chattanooga's WAWL.org since December, 2017. At WAWL, I host a bi-weekly radio show where I feature local musicians from the Chattanooga area. So far, I have interviewed and done a live interview/ performance with Shakey's Bad Knee and I have interviewed and featured music by XII Olympians. As often as possible, I go out and see live shows. This summer I have seen Spoon in Birmingham and enjoyed every second of the experience.

As my interests and hobbies may indicate, I absolutely love meeting new people. There is nothing more enjoyable than sharing ideas with someone new and learning about the different experiences, interests and points of view of others. Since 2016, I have been performing stand-up comedy at various open-mic nights in the Chattanooga area. This has been wonderful way of meeting many new friends, be they fellow aspiring comedians or the casual audience member.

I love learning. In May, I earned an Associate of Arts degree from Chattanooga State Community College. In August I will begin working on my Bachelor's degree at UTC. I am studying history and may soon choose to minor in Spanish, as I've thoroughly enjoyed learning this lovely language during my first year of study. My education plan takes me down a path that includes earning a Bachelors degree in history, then a Masters Degree in information science, so I may begin working as a reference librarian or a circulation librarian. Presently, I am volunteering at Chattanooga State's Kolwyck library, where I am helping with a large archiving project and I am enjoying every step of the way as I learn about preservation, history, library science and more.

I LOVE learning. I am always reading a few books at a time. Presently I am reading a biology textbook to expand my understanding of the "natural world." Additionally, I am reading a book about the history of antisemitism in order to understand why we have this problem in the world. My love for reading and learning covers many genres, and I suppose that can be covered more in a later section.

There is nothing better than being outdoors. I love to explore the "scenic city" of Chattanooga with friends and family. It seems there is no end to new places to hike, run, bike, or swim in the beautiful Tennessee country. A perfect day for me is spent exploring the city or country with new and old friends alike.
