I am a fresh out of high school graduate hoping to see most of Europe before I settle down next fall for Western Washington University. Tho I have never crossed an ocean, I have gone from coast to coast in both America and Canada during past summers and they were the funnest times I can recall. I was born in South Orange New Jersey and have been moving ever since. The list of states I have lived in include: New Jersey, Utah, Pennsylvania, Maine, Oregon, and Washington. Through these travels I have always had my three siblings. My two older brothers, Ian and Sam, and my youngest sister, Isobel. My father is a high school English teacher in Maine and my mother is the manager of a winery that specializes in fruit wine, I don't get it either. This will be my first time traveling alone, and I couldn't be more excited or as nervous. You can tell it's me by my giant green bag. 我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I decided to couch surf because I really wanted to be immersed in a culture when I visited, so what better way than staying with a local for a night. Of course it's also the most financially sound form of accommodation. Another reason why I decided to couch surf is because of the stories I have read on this website as well as other online forums. Surfers talk about lifelong friends and connections, experiences that they'll never forget, and opportunities that became present through couch surfing. These are all things I am wishing to experience on my up and coming journey through Europe. Though I have read a number of negative reviews about couch surfing as well and the dangers that could potentially arise, I have not yet witnessed them myself and I am always willing to try new things in the spirit of adventure.

One of my favorite interests is AI development! For 5 years I have taught myself a number of computer languages including Java, JavaScript, and C#. Those this skill will have little to no help on my travels, I'm hoping one of my future hosts will share this interest and I can spend hours on end talking. When I'm not writing code or launching balloons into space, you find me practicing an instrument. Instruments I have already learned to play include: Guitar, ukulele, drums, harmonica, tuba, and trumpet!

I'd say I can cook you authentic American dishes, but honestly it's just a trip to the frozen pizza crusts. However!
