ABOUT ME

My name is Caleb. I love reading, writing, board games, travelling, and meeting people.

There is nothing more important to me than my friends, and I love making new friends.

Three years ago I went backpacking across Europe. Since then I have not had the time (or money) to take a trip of that scale again, but I would like to.

My grandma taught me to look for adventure in everything I do, so that's how I view my life. I'm always up for an adventure.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

For now, I want to meet other people in the CS community while I surf. When I establish a more permanent residence, I would like to start hosting surfers as well.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Couchsurfing made my trip across Europe in 2010 a million times more enjoyable. I met people I never would have, many of whom I still keep in contact with today. One of the friends I met in Paris actually hitchhiked across America in 2011 from Washington DC to Spokane, Washington, and stayed with me for a week at the end of his trip. It was great to see him again and hear about his adventure.

Interests

I love board games and card games. If you have a favorite game, I would love to learn it. If you stay with me, or if you host me, I will probably offer to teach you a game, or play one you already know. If you're not interested I totally understand, but I always say that every time is a good time for a game.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite authors are Raymond Chandler and G.K. Chesterton. I read voraciously, and I love reading new authors. I'm also really into comics, especially Marvel. Ant-Man is my favorite superhero, and he's totally underrated.
