PHILOSOPHY
In my philosophy, I want to be a traveler even in my home town; I want to be aware of the ethical implications of privilege in all actions and systems that I encounter; I want to have a relationship with my environmental and interpersonal surroundings that makes everyone more human.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I stayed the night at a monastery on top of a limestone karst with a couple of monks and more than a few monkeys.
I built a shelter out of sticks and lived alone for three days and nights.
I walked up a canal towpath in Maryland for 18 hours with a person I love.
I got stuck in a cave on a bare mountaintop for hours as a violent thunderstorm struck.
