I travel to teach my future self how to live, while treating my present self to countless pleasures and wonders.

ABOUT ME

I love food, all kinds of musics, being outdoors, and surprising others and being surprised myself by what can go on when you interact across visible and invisible borders.

PHILOSOPHY

In my philosophy, I want to be a traveler even in my home town; I want to be aware of the ethical implications of privilege in all actions and systems that I encounter; I want to have a relationship with my environmental and interpersonal surroundings that makes everyone more human.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I stayed the night at a monastery on top of a limestone karst with a couple of monks and more than a few monkeys.

I built a shelter out of sticks and lived alone for three days and nights.

I walked up a canal towpath in Maryland for 18 hours with a person I love.

I got stuck in a cave on a bare mountaintop for hours as a violent thunderstorm struck.
