About Me

I'm sincere, I try to not fight with anyone. I'm friendly, extrovert.
Originally from Italy. I have been living in the states for 4 years.
I'm a translator/interpreter.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

It's the best way of traveling because you meet locals. It's like you are actually leaving the city and not just visiting.
Also, it's a chance to meet new, interesting people. When you travel, you get to see places and learn about it. Sometimes, we forget that places are made by people, and we have a lot to learn from them too!

Interests

IN GENERAL...
I like cooking and trying new techniques. I like reading but I'm falling in love with the audiobooks now...I love listening to live music, going to the movies, going to the theatre, going to the farmers market, chatting with foreign people, dancing, eating (anything but fast food). I like singing and playing the guitar alone or with my friends (even though I don't that much anymore). I like taking long walks on the beach or hanging out in the pool.
I like having people over for dinner, movie night, for "girls night in" (painting nails and such).

IMMIGRATION
I work for a non-profit that helps victims of crime like domestic violence, torture, harassment. We provide pro bono legal representation that can help these people applying for asylum visas and such.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I'm not sure.
The cultural exchange in Spain for 5 months was pretty awesome.
Skydiving was great too but I was really scared. I can't own this one. Ahah
I was in a musical and I loved it!
HHmmm...
One amazing thing would be finding a cure for cancer. Which, I didn't do. So...
I can't really answer this question. :/

Teach, Learn, Share

I would love to learn about anything I don't know.
I live by this:
"A life without research is not worth living."
- Socrates

I can teach Italian, Spanish and a bit of French.
I can teach how to play guitar (basics) and how to read music (G and C key).
I can teach a little bit of piano.
I can teach how to paint nails (regular and gel).
I can teach how to cook (not a professional so I don't promise anything, same thing with guitar, piano and nails eheh)

About sharing...see below

What I Can Share with Hosts

Cooking: in general and some techniques (sous-vide and slow cooking).
Italy: culture, history, places. Insights on where and how to travel there.
Nail art: it's a cool and pretty cheap hobby. I started when I was in Seattle, and I would spend a lot of time indoors.
San Diego: I have been here for a while now I can tell you where to go, where to go eat and what to do.
Seattle: same thing
My place: I am open to hosting people.
