to be a source of silly, intellectual, genuine, passionate experience.
Born and raised in small town, Arizona. I lived in Fort Collins for 7 years, working on my B.S. and M.S. in environmental engineering. I had a brief stint in Crested Butte, ski bumming. I moved to Houston area briefly for work. Moving to New Jersey in October! I like bouldering and biking (road and mountain) and boardgames and books and good beer. I'm getting back into yoga these days.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've surfed! But not in a while.
I've hosted, but also not in a while.
Nothing but wonderful. So, so wonderful.
I really like bikes. I just got back from a couple months of bikepacking in the Andes with my best friend. Absolutely incredible. I did the central Oregon backcountry loop June 2017, and I'm currently biking the Great Divide!
I like boardgames. Think Carcassonne, Race for the Galaxy, Through the Ages, Imperial Settlers, Caverna, Terra Mystica. I have a few and would love to play!
Bouldering is a world I fall more and more in love with. Went on a trip to Index and Squamish last summer. Did Index and Leavenworth this summer. Hoping to get back to Leavy early fall! Would love company :)

Music, Movies, and Books
My favorite book of all time might be "Rain of Gold" by Victor Villasenor. I'm finally reading "War and Peace" by Leo Tolstoy now, along with some others.
Folk music is my favorite. Elephant Revival, Shakey Graves, and Tallest Man. I also love Sylvan Esso, Mason Jennings, Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers, Yo la Tengo, Laura Marling.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
This question used to be "one amazing thing I've *seen,*" so:
Hundreds of thousands of tadpoles in the Redwood Creek. They were all in various stages of growth. They attached to my feet and inspired dust storms on the riverbed. It was like nothing else.
Ski bumming in Crested Butte. Face shots for life.
Biking in the Andes was unreal. Mountains on mountains!!
Teach, Learn, Share
More of the same. Bikes, beer, boardgames, bouldering, french press coffee, knitting, long walks on the beach.
