Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have had quite a few great couchsurfing experiences with a quite a few great people in Latvia, Romania, Italy, and many more. Ask me about them if you'd like.

Interests

Music, most of all, but I guess I'll describe that below. I mainly like just being with people, learning new things, and traveling, which I guess goes without saying.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music is my life, even though I don't actually play in a band or anything, although I used to play bass. My favorite bands are Wilco, Radiohead, the Mother Hips, the Rolling Stones, the Decemberists, Belle and Sebastian, the Smiths, Led Zeppelin, Modest Mouse, Bob Dylan, the Band, the Clash, the Grateful Dead, etc, etc, etc.
I also am very opiniated about, movies even though I don't know too much about them. I generally like smaller independent movies; my favorites include: Pulp Fiction, The Big Lebowski,Vertigo, Cool Hand Luke, Annie Hall, Best in Show, Punch Drunk Love, Oh Brother Where are Art Thou?, High Fidelity, I'm Trying to Break Your Heart, A Clockwork Orange.
I am always reading a book, also, but usually very slowly. Currently I am reading "Everything is Illuminated," which ties in with my mission to visit my ancestors' homeland. My favorites of all time inlcude Fortress of Solitude, Slaughterhouse 5, Atomised, Catcher in the Rye, Confederacy of Dunces, American Pastoral, Moby Dick when taught by Mr. Heard, Moth Smoke, L.A. Confidential, Youth in Revolt,and Nine Stories.
