About Me

I am a chilled out guy who enjoys meeting new people and exploring new places (cliche in know).

I have been living in Canada with my girlfriend Anastasia since January 2017 we are both Social Workers and worked in this field for the first 8 months of our time in Canada in Edmonton AB. We are now working in Rossland BC on the ski hill and skiing every day we are not working.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think travelling has become very insular, we as people will rather find wifi to get directions than ask a stranger. People staying in hostels sit in common spaces looking at the screen of their phone ensuring they don't have to have real human contact. I see couch surfing as not only a way of making travelling cheaper for people but also gives people real human connection and in doing so creates friendships and a far more authentic experience of the place being visited.
