My name is Calle and together with my boyfriend, Pepijn, I am traveling Asia and the pacific for one year. So far we have been traveling in Sumatra, Indonesia for 2 months and have loved every second. We both grew up in different countries as our parents worked abroad. I lived for 8 years in Papua New Guinea and pepijn lived in Scotland, Syria and America.

We are very open minded and love the outdoors. We have especially discovered a love for camping and hiking! We also really love talking with local people and learning about new cultures. We are definitely not the typical “party” backpackers and prefer places that are less touristy and less busy. 🤗

We are very active and social people that definitely will contribute a helping hand around the house.

For the future we plan to travel to Fiji to do marine conservation, work in New Zealand and then back home to Europe.

We meet a Andree a man in Banda Aceh who was hosting guests in Medan on a night bus. We had such a nice conversation with him about the differences in culture and life. He took us for breakfast the next day and the experience was so nice we decided to try our couch surfing ourselves in the hope to meet more people like Andree! 😊

We would love to do some cooking for you. Although the Dutch cuisine is some what limited we do make great pancakes with cheese and syrup, which sounds like a strange combination but it actually really good!
