Hello! I'm a rising-senior in college studying International Relations, with minors in History (European/Middle East mainly) and Creative Writing. I love reading books, writing, politics, hockey and interacting with people from different cultures. I like learning new languages but I'm kind of rubbish at it (I've tried bits and pieces of Spanish, Arabic, and Czech, now going for the basics in Latvia/Lithuanian/Russian, and will be learning beginning German in the fall). I've wanted to study Russian for some time, but my college does not offer it.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I am traveling this summer to Riga and Vilnius to conduct interviews for my senior research. The main goal of this trip is really to interact with Latvians and Lithuanians so that my research on the ethnic politics in the two countries is informed by people who actually living there.

I had the opportunity last fall to study abroad in the Prague, Czech Republic (oh no, is it Czechia now?) and one of the best parts of that experience was having a conversational class with locals and learning about the country and culture from their point of view.
