I recently completed a graduate degree and am currently deciding whether I want to continue my education with a PhD, or take a break and work for a while and then re-evaluate whether a PhD is the pathway for me. I grew up in Kentucky and completed my undergraduate degree in marine biology in Rhode Island and then moved to South Carolina to complete a masters in marine biology.

I am finally at a point in life where I have time to travel. I just finished my master's degree in marine biology and starting the next stage in my career, leaving me a few weeks to travel and see new parts of the world!

Couchsurfing offers a way to see the world with people who know the hidden gems of their city and can offer an insiders perspective on getting around a new city. It also gives me a chance to meet people from different backgrounds, cultures, and experiences.

I enjoy traveling and meeting new people. I am a nature-lover so time outside is a necessity for me to be happy! Having grown up in horse country, I am a horse fanatic and enjoy riding whenever I have the chance. I also enjoy water sports including kayaking, swimming, sailing, water polo, and SCUBA diving.

I went bungee jumping while studying abroad. This was an amazing accomplishment for me as I had been afraid to complete a high-ropes course when I was younger and had to be pushed off the platform!
