Heya! I'm a young guy from Australia exploring and climbing around Europe. I recently finished my mechatronic Engineering undergrad, and am taking (at least) 6 months off from work and study to focus on travel, meet like minded people, and pursue my interests. Currently moving around the Balkan states looking to learn about the history and culture, meet like minded people and just generally enjoying exploring! Also potentially looking for climbing spots and belay partners!

I haven't couch surfed since 2019, and with the world opening back up, super excited to meet cool people again!

I am a really outgoing, friendly, open minded guy. My favourite part about travelling is meeting so many people I'm able to learn from, discuss interesting topics with, and enjoy the company of awesome people while doing sweet adventures!

I'm a pretty outdoorsy person, and am a pretty avid rock climber. I also love running, hiking, camping, and exploring all kinds of beautiful cities and natural places (including Mont Blanc in France and the Kanjon Tijesno canyon in Bosnia and Herzegovina).

I also love to play guitar, try artsy things (although I'm not very good, I enjoy it!), practice yoga, some meditation, and read when I find the right books.

Super keen to meet open minded, motivated people to learn from, share my own experience with, and to have awesome adventures with!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on couch surfing to meet new people and get a more rich and fulfilling experience travelling by learning and sharing ideas through new connections. I am also travelling for 6 months, and honestly would like to save a little money where I can to keep the travel going. I can be introverted and sometimes need a little space (eg, go for a solo walk or run), but I always much prefer staying with other people and enjoy life with others 🙂

Interests

I have so many interests, which stems from my deeply curious personality, and my love of change and variety. I love being active and being outdoors in general. I have played many team sports like soccer and field hockey, am currently very committed to rock climbing and running, with a bit of every other type of outdoor adventure!

I also really love music, including playing guitar and a little piano, and listening to a wide array of music. I'm currently very into rap (love the honesty and story telling, and mix of emotions that can come with it).

I'm a bit of a nerd when it comes to science and maths, and hence why I studied engineering. I'm also very interested by really random phenomena, and am often told I get so 'stoked' about the weirdest of things! I'm just really interested in learning new things and exploring ideas I'm ignorant to, and love having conversations with other people or things like this.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've done some awesome outdoor rock climbing outdoors, including a 400ft multi-pitch, trad climb near Tahoe (was super exciting, as very different from the type of climbing I'm accustomed to).

I can offer an awesome young Australian's company!! I can offer my own culture to share, and an open mind to converse with on real interesting topics. I'd also be so happy for people who ahev hosted me to come stay with me in Australia!
