I travelled to Lyon last year to hang out with one of my friends staying there. I loved having someone that could show me the sights and hidden gems that you could only find if you had spent a lot of time in the city.

Furthermore, I'm a good people person and would enjoy discovering the interests and dreams of my host.

Always been a sporty person, grew up as a rugby player and over the last few years I've devoted myself to martial arts. I compete at mixed martial arts (MMA) but train multiple disciplines.

I'm a massive fan of food culture, both the cooking and eating. Wherever I travelled, I would always be on the lookout for good eateries throughout the spectrum of cheap to the fine-dining.

I have a love for history too and would be keen to find out the history or landmarks of any city visited.

I'm a naturally adventurous person and you'd be hard-strung to find something that I would not be willing to try.

Wide variety of music; tend to be more of a rock/metal fan but also enjoy listening to dance too.

Not the biggest movie fan but my personal favourite is Synedoche, New York. I am a lot more fond of thought-provoking films than your cheesy Hollywood blockbuster.

Favourite book is American Psycho by Bret Easton Ellis. Currently reading the 'Song of Ice and Fire' series which Game of Thrones is based upon.

I have fought 9 times in martial arts and won 8 of them and drawn 1.

My last two were both national amateur belts so I have two titles to my name. :)

Cooking and food is a total passion of mine! I may not be a Michelin star chef (yet!) but I love to cook, especially Mexican dishes as well as traditional English/Scottish grub. I'd be interested to teach what I can and learn different cooking techniques and tastes.

I speak fluent English and would always be happy to help anyone develop their English but I also love picking up languages too. My French is very basic and I've picked up bits of Spanish but I am a keen learner and want to discover new languages.

My big passion is martial arts and I'd love to discuss and share any techniques or training habits. From the absolute beginner to the grand master, a good martial artist should always be willing to learn!

Well, I'm a very big guy at 196cm and so I bring along a big personality to match.

I'm always happy to crack jokes, sing along, share food and get to know whomever was hosting me.
