When I first used Couchsurfing to hang out with people, I was completely blown away at how many friendly people are part of this community.

- the travel books of: Patrick Leigh Fermor, Colin Thubron, Dervla Murphy, and Wilfred Thesiger
- nonfiction (e.g. Wizard and the Prophet, Albion's Seed, Seeing Like a State)
