Originally from Scotland, I am an Freelance Outdoor Instructor living and working in the Scottish Highlands. My past times include climbing, open water swimming and trail running when it is warm and skiing, ice climbing and mountaineering when it is not so warm. I am competent at cooking, most of my meals are edible. Live music is a must. And of course with BOOKS, all the the books. Finally, I am completely new to couchsurfing so hopefully this all goes well.

I like all types of music, very much weather dependant though. As for films & tv, the list goes on, pulp fiction, the departed and inception are some of my favouritest, aswel as Game of thrones (minus season 8) and Peaky Blinders.
Books and poetry; anything Kerouac, Hemingway or krakauer usual does the trick, Bukowski and Frost seems to keep me grounded.
