Originally from the U.S., I moved to Europe to pursue a multinational master's degree and carried out my studies in England, Spain, and France. I am (thankfully) finished with school (at least for now) and continue to live in France, where I teach English phonetics and general English classes to university students.

D'origine étatsunienne, je suis venu en Europe pour suivre un master multinational et ai réalisé mes études en Angleterre, en Espagne et en France. J'ai (heureusement) fini mes études (au moins pour l'instant) et continue à vivre en France, où je travaille en tant qu'enseignant de phonétique anglaise et d'anglais général au niveau universitaire.

Music, Movies, and Books

I have fairly eclectic tastes and am always open to suggestions! For a long time, my favorite singer has been is Laura Pausini, and I can't wait for the release of her new album ('Simili' in Italian, 'Similares' in Spanish)! Lately I've also been listening to Scotty Dynamo's remixes—they make doing the dishes and cleaning much more bearable! I'm not particularly huge on movies, as I usually can't sit still long enough to watch them from start to finish, but on occasion I do enjoy a good comedy or drama. As for books, I'm currently reading Howard Zinn's 'A People's History of the United States'.

J'ai des gouts éclectiques et suis toujours ouvert à des recommandations. Ma chanteuse préférée depuis longtemps est Laura Pausini, et j'attends la sortie de son nouvel album avec impatience ! Récemment, j'écoute aussi beaucoup les remix de Scotty Dynamo — ils rendent beaucoup plus tolérables la vaisselle et le ménage ! Je ne suis pas vraiment un amateur de films, mais j'apprécie de temps en temps les comédies et les films dramatiques. Quant aux livres, je suis en train de lire « Une histoire populaire des États-Unis » de Howard Zinn (en anglais).

I'm a linguist by training and love learning different languages, and I can also share insight into and random trivia about them. I also like learning about other cultures, particularly about food; I would love to learn some new recipes! I can also show you around Dijon and offer recommendations on places to go and things to do.

Je suis linguiste de formation et adore apprendre de différentes langues, je peux également partager des connaissances soit approfondies soit genre « Le saviez-vous ? » sur celles-ci. J'aime aussi découvrir d'autres cultures, surtout par rapport à la gastronomie ; ça me fera très plaisir d'apprendre de nouvelles recettes ! Je peux aussi vous faire visiter Dijon et donner des conseils sur où aller et quoi faire.
