Hello everyone, I'm Kaitai (or you can call me Calvin) from China and I am currently studying and living in the capital of Scotland, Edinburgh. I am full of passion and enthusiasm and I love music, sports and travelling. My dream is to visit as many countries as I can and meet different people and experience different cultures.

I am a first year PhD student, which means permanent head damage somehow lol, and I am a bit nerdy or geeky from my appearance, however, I would love to talk to people and exchange ideas and lots of stuff with them. I am a nice and friendly person, so lets be friends!

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I am a newbie of this site but every time I read a couchsurfer’s profile, I get excited. It’s a way to bring traveling home. It gives you an alternative map of the city and its people, pointing you directly to those who’ll share.

I would love to explore different places and learn a bit more about the world and in return I can learn a bit more about myself. I am also eager to host any guests who want to know Chinese cultures and who are attracted by the beautiful scenes in Edinburgh.

兴趣

Personally I love music, sports (basketball, swimming and as the stereotype of a typical Chinese I also play table tennis!) and travelling. I also try to learn some new languages, like German and Spanish, by myself when I am free.

I listen to various genres of music and listen to different singers or bands too. My favorite songs, just to name a few, include Better Man, Bad Day, Yellow and I am still loving you!

For movies I just love watching comedies and maybe some Hollywood blockbusters!

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I used to take a bicycle trip with my pals in the highland area of Scotland. We spent around four days riding and camping on the road. Along the way, we've seen some of the famous scenes in scotland such as Isle of Skye and Cuillin Mountain.
