ABOUT ME

Im living back in my home town after quite a few years away and my new aim for the moment is to reconnect with my sunny home town while at the same time travel vicariously through CS'ers - if I cant travel for the moment I may as well get to hear about others experiences. And who knows, I may learn something new about my state in the process.

Id like to think im open and honest and someone that generally gets along with people of all shapes and sizes. Im always willing to help out my fellow man and will give you the last 10c/10p/10 dong if you really need it.

I love experiencing new cultures - The sights, the tastes, the smells and especially the sounds. I love my music and enjoy exploring how music and culture intertwine.

I also like to have a laugh and generally just be a bit of a larrakin. If you take yourself too seriously we may not get along....or maybe we will?

PHILOSOPHY

Share and share alike. A wise girl once told me her personal philosophy was to "pay it forward". As the world keeps turning the more I realise this is something we should all do and CS is the perfect platform for this.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Couchsurfing has only ever been a positive experience for me and I have made what I consider to be some life long friends out of the experience. I love the community and cross cultural aspect in a world that so desperately needs it.

Interessi

Music Music Music. Seeking out new music, trying to create my own (and failing miserably), going to festivals and generally immersing myself in it.

Cooking - Ive recently been cooking alot and have discovered a passion for not just stuffing my face but preparing a decent bit of grub here and there. I can cook you some traditional Spanish dishes my Owella taught me.

Social history, politics and culture. Im always looking to learn.

Musica, film e libri

Movies and docs...anything arthousey, strange, out of the ordinary. Some of my fav films include Adaptation, The Cube, The Machinist, Run Lola Run, Swingers, Mad Max, The Dancer Upstairs, Being John Malkovich, The Shawshank Redemption, Happiness, The Darjeeling Limited, Chopper.

Music...Everything from Electronic to Jazz to Post-Punk/Rock to Indie to Reggae to African vibes. Some artists i like include Radiohead, !!!, Two Lone Swordsmen, Frank Zappa, Lusine, The Mars Volta, The Flaming Lips, Pivot, Mogwai, Sigur Ros, God Speed You Black Emperor, Triosk, Jan Jelinek, The Necks, Cold War Kids, Kraftwerk, Yes, Tv On The Radio, The Tea Party, Pearl Jam, Paul St Hilaire....Faaar to many to list.
