ABOUT ME

I am originally from Los Angeles, California. Born and raised. I move out to Hawaii for school and then went overseas in China for 3 years. I taught English there while I was traveling around the country and also visiting some near by countries. I like to travel, love to eat and try new kinds of cultural foods, play video games, read, and in my spare time, do some photography.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have hosted a couple people. Would love to get more interactions with people through coffee, and to experience life with fellow CSers!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I started a couch surfing account awhile back but it was hard to get people to accept my requests. I later moved in with a roommate who is the CS Ambassador of Raleigh, NC and he encouraged me to get back into it because it is well worth it. Now I have giving CS a second chance!
I recently met a wonderful couple (a man from Peru and a woman from Ireland) and they stayed at our place for a few days. We were able to talk about their lives and their personal experience of living in the US. Afterwards we went to a Peruvian restaurant where they ordered the best food I have ever tasted. Would love more of these great CS experiences!

--Hiked on the Great Wall (More times then I can remember)

--Grew up in Los Angeles, CA

--Driven across the United States with my girlfriend from Los Angeles to Raleigh (3,000 miles in 7 days)

--Been to the South Rim of the Grand Canyon

--Rode on horses through the mountainous forest of Lijiang, China

--Rode on elephants in Phuket, Thailand

--Sat on an adult tiger in Bangkok, Thailand

--Attended a wedding in Malaysia

--Been to Zion and Bryce Canyon National Park in Utah

--Hiked the Rocky and Appalachian Mountains

--Got a hug from former US president Bill Clinton

I have been overseas for 3 years and love to share about my experiences of being overseas. I am originally from the West Coast and would love to talk about my hometown for those who are interested.

I love to learn about local culture, especially from those who are local to the place I am visiting.
