I'm on couchsurfing because Im starting to arrange a travel to The West EEUU with my parents and my brother and I need some advices about transport and hostels low cost to go over the cities (LA, Las vegas, San Francisco).

I am not looking for private shuttle, taxi or any costly option. My questions is purely about public transport.
