Sobre mí

I'm currently working and travelling in Australia, so unfortunately cannot host in Toronto at the moment!

I've been teaching in Australia this school year after a year doing the same in France - it is completely different but both experiences have been amazing!

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

The more I travel, the more I realize that what makes a place special is the people you meet. So many of my favourite memories are about people who have shared with me a bit about themselves - sometimes over a meal, sometimes during a hike and sometimes it's just 1 hour in a hostel common room - but those moments mean so much to me.

Couchsurfing is a great way to make connections and although I haven't done it too often, some of my best memories have just been listening to my hosts and learning from them - about their town, about their own travels, and about life.

Intereses

I love learning languages as I travel and helping others learn the languages I know!

I enjoy bicycling, reading, canoeing and dancing.

Música, películas y libros

I read too much to pick a favourite book - really it's true!

I've decided to only read Aus authors while I'm down under and I'm currently reading Tim Winton!

Algo increíble que he hecho

Hiking up Rucu Pinchincha in Ecuador. I have done so much since, but this moment stays with me still. I was struggling to make it to the top, so when I saw this group coming down I asked how was there rest of it and if we (myself and a Brazilian friend I mad eon the way up), should turn back. He said "sometimes, when you are almost there, you just have to go all the way". I know, it's not terribly eloquent but English was not his first language and you know what? I climbed Rucu Pinchincha and I think of him every time I feel like giving up on something.

Qué puedo ofrecer a los anfitriones

I have a lot of cheesey jokes to share! But I also talking about food, politics, books, ANYTHING. (I also like to eat food - not just talk about it...)
