I'm very friendly and easygoing, and I love meeting new people and having long conversations over dinner, a drink, or just walking around! I studied Italian and Linguistics in Edinburgh, Scotland, and now I live in Bologna, Italy and teach English and translate. In my free time I watch a lot of films and take photos and videos, as I would love to work in filmmaking or photography one day.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I don't like to be a tourist when I travel, so I would like to meet as many locals as possible and fully immerse myself in the places I visit. I'm really interested in people - talking to them, seeing how they live, how they think, and this is such a good way to get to know people all over the world.
I've couchsurfed with friends before, in Italy, Mexico and Spain, and had amazing experiences.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I hitchhiked around southern Mexico after finishing university, from Tulum to Mexico City, and then travelled the length of Central America, all on a very tight budget!

I studied in Bologna, Italy, for a year, at one of the oldest universities in the world, and explored as much of the country as possible while I was there.

I love to watch films and talk about them, and exchange languages. I am happy to discuss any topic, and really enjoy a good debate! I like cooking and eating new foods, and sharing meals from different places.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can teach you English if you want to practice or improve, or maybe some Italian! I studied languages and linguistics, and I have an English teaching qualification, so I really enjoy discussing and helping people with language questions (however detailed!). I can cook for you, a mixture of different things (English, Scottish, curry, Italian), and even do some music if you're interested!
