About Me
Hi!
I am a 21 year old girl living in Paris, where I grew up, and where I am completing my degree in political science / public affairs.
I think I would have loved to lead a nomadic lifestyle - I need to move from place to place regularly, and I have lived at a lot of friends in an unconventional way; sharing rooms, cooking which I love, stories, and ideas... Consequently I have lived quie everywhere in Paris, and could make you feel " at home" in many areas! My friends and my guests are all family for me.
I love to meet new people, for I have many questions but less and less answers to them as I learn more, listen to radically different points of views, and observe the state of the world.
I am most interested in what I still don't know or suspect, but would love to discuss politics, cinema, litterature, religion or even esoteric subjects with you :) without forgetting cuisine, especially Italian one!
I have quite a multicultural family, and a strong link to the South of Italy where I spent almost all my summers. That's why, although I am French, I have a strong attachment to the Mediterranean culture and way of life.
I did an Erasmus in Istanbul last year which I absolutely loved - the city, the people, the way of life...
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I had always wanted to host couchsurfers but could not, since I was living at my parents. Now that I will have my own place in Paris, I am very excited to meet people from various countries and to travel in the way I consider the best - which is, meeting local people, listening, seeing and learning things you could never learn from a guidebook. I really enjoy talking to people, quite everywhere I go, and especially meeting people whose lives, points of views, culture are different from mine.
On the other hand, I love to make people ( and my friends!) feel comfy, cosy at home, I like to cook others very much and to make people discover my favourite places, cafes and so on..

Music, Movies, and Books
- love American folk music like Joan Baez, Italian and French classic songs, French rap, but also a hdostoïevskiell lot of Eastern and Middle East music, be it from Israel ( Avishai Cohen), Turkey, or rai arabic music...
- I like French authors a lot, of course, and especially Maupassant ( " une vie"), Flaubert in Mme Bovary, Raymond Radiguet who is not well known.. But I also love Russian litterature ( spent a summer dreaming with War and Peace ahah, and enjoy a lot Dostoïevski and Gogol). Usually, I am fond of great, breathtaking and historical novels, especially if they are about family drama! East of Eden from Steinbeck is one of my favourite book.
I didn't read so much poetry until I discovered Nâzim Hikmet poems in Istanbul.. I would love to discover Persian poetry as well.
Oh, and you should read Marguerite Duras texts. They are beautiful.
I go very often to the cinema, as much as I can, and it's hard to tell my favourite movies. I was very moved by Hiroshima, my love. I watched Barry Lindon 3 times love all Korean dark movies; road movies as well and of course Italian movies from the neo realist period; as well as French ones - Truffaut, Resnais, Renoir :)
