About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Headed to the North Shore in Oahu to become an island temptress
ABOUT ME
I get to know people easily, am always up for any sort of adventure, and have a definite spontaneous streak. I live to experience and try to get the most I can get out of each day. I allow my internal compass to guide me in all that I do. Compassion is one of my strengths. I attribute this to my homeschooled Waldorf vegetarian hippy upbringing.
PHILOSOPHY
Tell me,
what is is you plan to do
with your one wild and precious life?
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I am a leader as much as I am a follower. I often know when to step up and when to step back.
Interests
I am an avid rock climber, backcountry, freestyle, and all-mountain skier, happiest when my car is loaded full of climbing gear and there's a kayak or a pair of powder skis riding on top.
I hike, swim, backpack, camp, kayak, trail run, spelunk, paddle board, slack line, ride horses....I am active in my yoga practice, read a lot, and enjoy making healthy, amazing vegan food. I love a good conversation, am learning to like black coffee, and often find myself at music festivals. I love dogs. They are drawn to me, often in inconvenient ways.

Music, Movies, and Books
I am infatuated with John Krakauer at the moment and have devoured Into Thin Air, Into the Wild, and Under the Banner of Heaven. Wild was a great read. I love Mary Oliver, ee cummings, Jonathan Saffron Foer, Sloane Crossley,
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
A couple nights ago a friend and I took our kayaks up to Sparks Lake, a clear, shallow body of water ensconced between the backside of Mt. Bachelor and the Three Sisters and Broken Top mountains. It was midnight when we finally got our boats loaded and into the water. We paddled blindly across the lake and though we've both spent many days up there, we experienced it in a whole new way. The moon was hiding and the stars were the only thing lighting up the sky.
