ABOUT ME

I am adventurous and love throwing myself into new things. I can be very irreverent. I love people. I have a heart that is wide open to all that the world can offer me. That can be painful, but it is worth it.

Soy aventurera y me encanta tirarme cosas nuevas. Puedo ser muy irreverente. Me encanta la gente. Tengo un corazón que está abierto a todo lo que el mundo puede ofrecer. Eso puede ser doloroso, pero vale la pena.

I have hosted about 5 surfers and loved every one.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My best two couchsurfing experiences were in Mexico City, and neither involved actually surfing couches! I contacted Luis in Mexico City to have a coffee with and I'm so glad I did - he let me practise my terrible Spanish with him even though he was fluent in English, he took me to eat THE BEST BAGELS EVER, some pretty great Horchata, told me about all the best Mexican music and was generally awesome to hang out with.

The other was finding a meet-up at a Salsa club where I danced the night away with an international crowd of Mexicans and other travellers.

Mis mejores experiencias de Couchsurfing estaban en la ciudad de México, y no participan realmente surfear por los sofás! Me puse en contacto Luis, en la Ciudad de México para tomar un café con el y estoy muy contenta de haberlo hecho - me dejó practicar mi español terrible con él, aunque era fluido en Inglés, me llevó a comer LA MEJOR BAGELS, me habló de toda la mejor música mexicana y en general fue impresionante para pasar el rato.

El otro fue la búsqueda de una reunión en un club de Salsa en la que bailó toda la noche con un grupo internacional de los mexicanos y otros viajeros.

I love the Internet. I do improvised theatre. I love reading good books, especially comedy and really meaty serious books. I love food and seek out new tastes. I love languages - learning and practising. I love meeting people and finding common ground.

The only one I have an immediate answer to is books, and of course, my favourite book is always the last one I read.

I'm enjoying Sloane Crosley's "How Did You Get This Number" and Sarah Silverman's recent autobiography at the moment.

Travelling through Mexico alone, with no plans, for 7 weeks was the best thing I have ever done. Ask me about it.

I am a teacher by trade, and I love teaching.
I am especially good at helping with English if you want to learn.
I could teach you how to knit, or mend pretty much anything if you are so inclined.

I want to learn how to speak Spanish better!
