ABOUT ME

We are a British couple who live in Christchurch. *Please note we only host at weekends* We're pretty easygoing, both into travelling, having new adventures and being outdoors. We are also quite crafty - Cam has recently got into dressmaking and quilting and spends an unreasonable amount of time buying fabric, and Paddy enjoys woodwork and wishes he could fill the garage with tools. We love meeting people and sharing stories. We've been in NZ since January 2011 and Chch since April 2011. We love living in Christchurch because it's such a dynamic city at the moment. Every week something new is going up or coming down! It's also close to the mountains and the sea - great for getting out and about, which suits us perfectly! We have an awesome cat called Bertie who loves cuddles and will probably shed cat hair all over you. But it's only because he looooovvves you!!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We host every now and again. We only host on weekends because we're too busy in the week, but obviously we like to go away sometimes too, so we can't do every weekend. We love having travellers to stay now that we've settled here, so we can live vicariously through you and pretend we're still backpacking :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Have hosted a bit and surfed once. I find CS is also a great way to meet new people when you're new to the area

We're into exploring NZ (we've been nearly everywhere now), also outdoor activities including surfing, tramping, skiing, climbing, cycling, BBQing, shopping, going to cafes/pubs etc.We also enjoy indoor activities like playing board games, cooking, video games, baking, watching movies etc
We are happy to include you in any of the above if we're doing stuff while you stay with us.

We have rather diverse tastes in movies and books. Cam has a book club that meets once a month so is always open to reading new things.

Cam crochets so she could teach you a few stitches if you want to learn. Or if you are already a proficient crocheter she would love you to teach her how to make hats without them going wibbly...
Paddy likes building and fixing things and is happy to give you a few tips if you're buying a car.

We can also help you plan your trip around NZ as we have been to nearly all of it, especially the South Island.
